Today was a fabulous day to go to the Arboretum. We were fortunate enough to have a half day today and decent weather so we decided to head to the Arboretum with Josh and Karen. Everyone enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the Gingko Room before taking off for a hike around the lake to see all of the scarecrows. Each year scout troops from schools all over the county submit scarecrows to be displayed around the perimeter of the lake. This year was no different, with many creative entries!

The weather was cool and overcast, we were hoping for sun, but the lack of rain was all that we needed to enjoy ourselves. Karen and I were remarking that we already have cabin fever since this month has been consistently cloudy and rainy. But despite the poor weather, the tree colors are so vibrant. Right now I am sitting in the office looking across the street and the yellow leaves on the ground seem to glow. It is sight to behold.
