First Grade Valentine's Day Party

I helped out with the first grade Valentine's Day party on Friday.  Frankly it was a toss up between preschool and first grade.  I do think the parties are a blast but I am easily worn out by all the chaos.  This particular party seemed to be high on chaos.  Perhaps it was due to the vast quantities of sugar the children had ingested prior to the moms arriving for the party?  Wow they were amped up!

The party moms had four stations for the kids to rotate through.  One was cuter than the next. They put me in charge of the cookie decorating station (the highest sugar content of all the activities, I'll have you know).  One mother had made home made sugar cookies and supplied all sorts of goodies for decoration.  This is Erin and her friend Molly at the cookie table.  Clearly E is enjoying her cookie!

And the two of us at the end of the party!

After we helped Mrs. McJoynt clean up the room, we took home two of Erin's friends and (surprise) went home to play in the snow for the next two hours!  I figured it was the best solution to running off that sugar!
