The workers were here early this morning (7:30 is early for our family) marking out what had to happen over the course of the day. First project to tackle was the wall between the laundry/mud room and the kitchen. They completely removed the bathroom and the mudroom sink. The inverted 'T' on the floor is where the pantry and hall closet used to exist.

This is the view from the sink through the mudroom. It was so amazing to see through these walls today. As you can tell there are lots of pipes to be relocated or tapped off in the coming days.
In the meantime we will be trying to keep the dust to a minimum. Tomorrow I will post the picture of our family room in a bubble. We have a huge plastic wall between all the construction and the family room, you can enter via a big vertical zipper. The kids think this is the best thing that ever happened to them.
