It has been called to my attention by a certain someone that I have been behind on the blog. While this is entirely true, I am feeling 'ahead' in so many other areas of my life. Now it is time to look back on some of the fun times of the last few weeks.
My mom came to visit for Kathleen's wedding shower. It was an amazing event, filled with love and joy for the new couple. I just love John and am so happy that Kathleen has selected him as a partner. I am looking forward to celebrating with them for many years to come (and hopefully babysitting one day!).
We decided to extend mom/Grammy's birthday celebration until November 13th so the children could give her their gifts and have cake. With my kids, it is always about the cake...
Both children (as well as Jim and myself) were just thrilled to have her here. She spent oodles of time with both children without any interruptions. Highlights of the visit (in addition to the shower) were iPod touch games, waking up Grammy in the morning, reading books, writing books, coloring, and helping in the classrooms of both children.
