Dinner Time!

Every year the pumpkins make their way from the inside to the outside.  Usually we put them on the back end of the patio to let the squirrels go at it and make a fine mess.  This year for many reasons too boring to list in this missive, I stuck them on the back step right outside the door.  It has been fabulous because the squirrels come right up to the patio door and the kids can watch them.  I am so surprised that they don't get skittish with the kids and I right on the other side of the glass.  Evidently they know they are safe.  Here is one of our fall friends having an afternoon snack.
