Today was Homecoming for Downers Grove North - a huge activity for the town. The kids walked in the parade last year but didn't fully enjoy it since they were giving out candy, not getting it! I promised them that they could watch this year. Main street (one of the busiest streets in town) was closed down for the parade and the kids got to run and dance in the street before it started. Erin is in pink, William in the middle and Allison in turquoise running.
They all collected TONS of candy due to our very strategic location.
Here they are getting a high 5 from Mr. Miller (our neighbor/Sydney's dad/the band director). The band is doing a Beatles theme this year and their shirts were tie dyed purple (school color) with a Beatles logo on the front. Very sleek.
Lastly is mini Queen Sydney. She got to ride in the car with the Homecoming Queen. The kids thought this was the best! What a fun afternoon. We were so happy that the rain held off for all the fun.
