Happy Halloween!!

We had a fabulous Halloween with only one trick and LOTS of treats. We started out the day at William's school where he had a party and then all the children sang 3 songs for the parents. William was a bit shy about this, he stood sideways, stealing glances at his sister and I, while he sang his songs. He has three friends from our street in his class, Sydney, Jack & Kiera so we tried to get some group photos!

Then we went home and got Erin ready for her Halloween party and parade at school. All the parents come to school to watch the children parade through the playground. There were so many cute costumes - it was fantastic. Erin was Glinda the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz. She wanted to coordinate with her best friend, and next door neighbor Allison, who was Dorothy. I helped out in the classroom after the parade with their Halloween party. The moms in charge of the party came up with four fun crafts/snacks/games for the children.

We came home after school and had some down time on the couch until William woke up from his nap before we went out trick or treating. They were excited to hand out candy to the bigger kids as they came home from middle school and high school. Trick or treating was fun, the weather was amazing, it was probably in the mid 60's. Erin, William and Allison led the way going door to door. We couldn't have asked for a nicer night. William actually kept up with them for an hour and a half. Jim finally went home to get the stroller to give Will a bit of a break (and so he could eat some candy!).

After trick or treating we all went over to the Penn's with lots of our neighbors and friends and had chili and enjoyed everyone's company. The kids had a field day in their newly finished basement - all amped up on sugar!
