The Long Jump

Tonight we went to a fan favorite (Chili's) for dinner with the kids. They were in fabulous spirits after an entire afternoon playing outside in summertime weather (despite it being the first day of fall). After dinner Jim taught the kids some of his super cool 6th grade olympics long jump moves. The kids were very impressed and they gave it many tries in front of the restaurant for the entertainment of the patrons. Erin shows promise as a future long jumper. Then, in salute to the anniversary of the invention of the ice cream cone, we went to Every Day's a Sundae to celebrate Will's half birthday (a day late). Will is the great experimenter, he tries a new kind every time he goes. Tonight it was Chocolate Malt (quite tasty I'll admit since I had to help a bit).
